This tutorial was written by me on August 15, 2014, any resemblance to another is coincidental.
You will need to
know the basic functions of Corel Paint Shop Pro (PSP) and how to use filters/plugins. I used PSPX2, however all versions will work.
You may purchase or get the 30 'trial' versions of the software I used at the links below:
.:Paint Shop Pro:.
.:AlienSkin Eye Candy:. Plugin filter.
You will need my supplies
(file size 492kb)Please read the .readme file included for instructions for installing the PSP
resources.
I am using the art of © Irmino Pin Oops! You may purchase this tube
at Creative Design Outlet, of course
you may use any tube you want.
Here we go!
Open a 600x600 px blank canvas. Make your image resolution 72 dpi (unless you already have it set at 72 dpi as
your default). Open your tube, copy and paste the full body and larger closeup layers to your canvas. Delete the 'empty' layer,
close the 'full body' layer and move the 'closeup' tube layer to the bottom. In the 'Materials' palette using RGB values, put
222,23,100 in the 'Foreground', and 254,183,210 in the 'Background'. If you are using a different tube,
with the 'color Picker' choose a dark color and a light color from your tube and place in the 'Foreground' and 'Background' of the
'Materials' palette.
(From here on I will refer to the items in my supplies, you may use your own
if you wish)
Open lip_paper copy and paste it below your bottom layer. Apply my mask DAC_maskltlul.jpg; 'Source
luminance', 'Fit to layer', and 'Show all mask' ticked. Merge the 'Mask Group' layers and resize this layer 80%. Now click on the bottom
(tube) layer and move it to the center of the mask. Resize if necessary. With the 'Eraser' tool erase any part of the tube outside
of the mask. Now move this layer to the bottom. Click on the mask layer, now add a new layer above it. Click on 'Selections' and in
the drop down menu click on 'Load/Save Selection' - 'Load Selection from disk' find my Selection - "DAC_rec1.PspSelection" 'Source
luminance' and 'Replace selection' ticked, click 'Load'. 'Flood fill' the border with your foreground color.
In the Selections tab click
'Select none'. Click on the 'Effects'
tab, '3d effects', 'Inner Bevel' and apply with the settings in the diagram below
on the Tool bar,
click on the 'Selection/Magic Wand' tool with the 'Magic Wand' selected - Mode: 'Add (Shift); Match Mode: 'RGB Value; Tolerance: '19',
Contiguous - 'ticked', Feather: '2', Anti-alias: 'ticked'. With the 'Magic Wand' click inside the rectangle. Add a new layer below the
rectangle and 'flood fill'with gradient Delirium_5_DAC or your color/gradient of choice.
Apply Alien Skin Eye Candy Textures - 'Texture Noise' using the settings in the diagram below:
De-select. Click on the 'rectangle frame' layer and merge down with the rectangle. Add a drop shadow of choice, I used 2,2,55,8,
color, 138,0,0. Open the Pink Rose tube, copy and paste it above the rectangle. Resize the rose 50%, rotate left 20°, place it
on the left bottom corner of the rectangle. Add a drop shadow of choice, i used 6, -12, 40, 8 color= 138,0,0. Duplicate this layer
and 'Mirror, place on bottom corner of right side of the rectangle, merge down. Open the wordart, copy and paste it above the roses
layer. Move the wordart to circle the top of the mask. (see my tag for reference)Add a drop shadow of choice, I used 4,10,55,5, color=138,0,0. Open the Pink Bracelet, copy and paste it below the 'Rectangle' layer, position it to fit right
below the wordart. I did not add a drop shadow, you may if you wish.
'Un-hide' the top (tube) layer, resize it 80%, apply drop shadow of choice.
I used Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact - 'Perspective Shadow'. I have provided you the setting via the 'DAC_rsreflect.fls' file.
The diagram below shows where to locate and apply the setting.
If are going to resize your tag, do so now. Now add the artist copyright
and other applicable credits. Add your text (name, etc.). The font I used is called
'Flower' available at Fonts 101.
Apply a drop shadow of choice, I used 4,10,55,5 color= 138,0,0. 'Merge visible' and save as a .png or 'merge all' and save as .jpg'

Violet - Signature Tag Tutorial
This Tutorial is copyrighted and registered at
UPDATE: My 'Gold 'N Violet' Scrap is now FTU effective July 1, 2014, the download is now free, however the Tube is no longer included as a condition of conversion to FTU per Ms. Jensen's TOU
This Signature tag tutorial was created in PSP X2 on April 4, 2014 by me and copyrighted to me, Lil Dymun and registered with Tutorial Writers Inc. Any resemblance to another tag or tutorial is completely coincidental.
This will be quick and easy
What's needed: A 'good' working knowledge of PSP;
Corel PSP - Get a Free Trial .:Here:.
Alien skin Eye Candy 5 Impact plugin - Get it .:Here:.
You will need my supplies .:HERE:.
You will need to put the file 'gve63_©DAC.pspSelection' into your 'Selections' folder (commonly found in your 'My Douments/My PSP Files/...). Put the ©DAC_front1.fls into your Eye Candy 5 Impact - Perspective Shadow (or shadow) 'Settings' folder which is located in your 'Plugins' folder. GO to 'My Documents', then 'My PSP Files, then 'Plugins'. Then Open the 'Alien Skins' folder and then the 'Eye Candy 5' folder, then the 'Impact' folder, then the 'Perspective Shadow' or 'Shadow' folder, then the 'Settings' folder and copy or move the file there.
To make this tag I used the art of Enamorte, This is a Tube made available to members of The Diamond Club at Creative Design Outlet, you may license the artists images there. I also used my "Gold and Violet" Scrap Kit, you can get it .:HERE:. (of course you can use any tubes or kits you like :D) You will also need my Mask 9, which you can snag .:HERE:.
it's a 'freebie'.
Now, let's get started!
Open a blank 600x600px 72dpi canvas. Go to 'Selections' and 'load from disk' my Selection 'gve63_©DAC.pspSelection' file. Open element 'gve63' frame, copy and paste to your canvas, resize the frame 65%. Move the frame so that the Selection is in the center of the frame. Delete the bottom (empty) layer. Open 'paper 11', copy and paste to the canvas under the frame, resize paper 80%, invert Selection and hit delete on the paper layer. De-select and 'merge visible'. Open paper 16, copy and paste to your canvas and move it under the frame layer. Resize the paper 70% and apply 'Mask 9'. Resize this layer 90% and with the move tool', move the mask layer up so that no portion is seen below the frame (be sure to keep this layer as the bottom). Now above your mask layer copy and paste element 'gve60' resize 80%.
Copy and paste your tube above the frame and resize if necessary. (Note: a headshot with shoulders works best). Use the 'move tool' with the 'Pick' option to place and rotate the tube in the frame (see diagram below)
Now apply Eye Candy 5 Impact 'Perspective Shadow' using my preset.
(see diagram below)
(Hint: I erased the top portion of the tube shadow that covered the 'frame' shadow to give a more realistic appearance.)
Merge the tube layer to the frame. OK, Almost done! Open element 'gve8' resize 50%, place it on the left side of your tag under the frame layer. Copy and paste element 'gve73' resize 50%, place it to the right of the Crystal Globe (see my tag for reference) add a subtle drop shadow. Copy and paste element 'gve18' resize 35%, place it on top of the gold Basket, add the same drop shadow and merge the 2 together. Copy and paste element 'gve58' to your canvas, resize 80%, 'mirror'
and place on the right side of your tag under the frame layer. Add a subtle drop shadow. Copy and paste element 'gve17' resize 50% and place it above the tube in the left corner of the frame (see my tag for reference) add a drop shadow of choice. I used Eye Candy 5 Impact Perspective Shadow setting 'Reflect in Front - Faint' and in the Basics tab 'Reflect Selection Color' and 'Mask Selection' both ticked. If you want to resize your entire tag, do it now. Add artist copyright info.
Now add your name or other text. The font I used is
'Anglia Olde Concise' at 100px, foreground - nil, background - 111,0,87; drop shadow - 3,0,100,5 and the same color. Save as .png or flatten to .jpg if you prefer.
Below is a tag that features a tube that is included in the 'Gold and Velvet' scrap kit. So as you can see
this tutorial also works with a full body tube. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial, I would love to see tags you make from it. Email me your results by clicking the link below.

Toosh Fall Tag Tutorial
This tutorial was written in PSP X2, to make this tag you need to know how
to use Corel's Paint Shop Pro Photo and Plugins(filters). Get a Free Trial .:Here:.
Plugins used
are (these are optional)
1.) Alien skin Eye Candy 5 Impact plugin - Get it .:Here:.
2.) KPT5 Shapeshifter get it .:Here:.
I also used DMSK mask 0670 - get it
.:Here:.
You will need my Gradient glow preset if you
want the same effect that I have on my text. You will need to place the file in the
'glow' folder (inside the 'settings' folder)in your Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact folder
where you have your plugins stored. [note: you can place it in Eye Candy 3 or 4000
also]. Click here to download my preset.
I used the art of © Toosh Toosh and
Magical Falls Scrap kit by Disysas Digital Designs get the kit .:Here:.
O K, let's get started
Open paper Disyas_Mfall_P3, copy and paste as a new image. Apply the
mask. Open element Disysas_MFall_El45 (falling leaves), resize 80%, move to top
left of background (see my tag for reference). Change layer 'blend mode' to
Luminance. Copy and paste element Disysas_MFall_Nature8 (leaf), resize 50%, place
where ever you like, I chose the right side of my tag below the falling leaves
element. Change layer 'blend mode' to 'Soft Light'. Copy and paste element
Disysas_MFall_El21(ladder), resize 50%, add a drop shadow of V-2, H-5, Opacity 50,
blur 5. Place under the tree on your
background. Now open Disysas_MFall_El10 (lantern) resize 30% and hang it where
you like in the tree. Copy and paste Disysas_MFall_Border11 and place it at the
bottom of the tag. With the 'Pick' tool strectch the border to go across the bottom of the background scene. Now copy and paste your tube(s), resize as necessary and place
where you like on your tag. Now extract 2 colors from your tubes and place in the
foreground and background of the 'Materials Palette'. We are going to create the text for the top of the tag. You will be placing the text on a curve. If you have never done this there is a great tutorial here. Draw your elipse with the settings in the diagram
below.
Place the
text tool cursor at the top center of the elipse and type your text. I used
BernhardFashionHMK @43px you can get it here.. Now move your text to the top of your tag as in the
diagram below
Apply a
Gradient Glow using the 'whiteblackneon' setting you placed in the Eye candy
software that you are using. [note: layer must be converted to a raster layer before
applying the filter] The diagram below shows where to locate the setting.
Merge all visible layers. Now is the
time to resize our tag. I resized mine by 75% and then cropped it. Add your
artist/copyright info and your name.
For my name I used the font 'Princess Lulu' @ 72 px, you can get it here. I used a gradient I created from the 2 colors I chose from
my tubes and placed in my fore and background in the Materials Palette. Apply KPT 5
Shaper Shifter filter or an Inner Bevel to your name. After you have typed your name
and converted the layer to raster, select all of the text with the magic wand. I
feathered the selection 5px. If you add KPT5 Shapeshifter, see the diagram
below for reference.Merge your layers to either flatten
for .jpeg or merge visible and save as a .png file.
I wrote this tutorial on October
29-31, 2011. Any resemblance to another is absolutely coincidental as I have not
seen one like this. I hope you enjoy it. Please send me your tags from this
tut, I would so love to see them.
Thanks so, so much for trying it out! :)
